Too windy for a K8 on Monday ?

by

Not anywhere near Channel Gliding Club at the moment but with a very intense low pressure system forecast to run across the country early on Monday I’ve been keeping a beady eye on the proceedings. Certainly things are looking to be somewhat breezy on the South East Coast.

Indeed, closing in on Waldershare at around 09:00 our club has about the highest gust wind speed forecast by XCWeather (http://www.xcweather.co.uk/forecast/waldershire) for any UK location.

Yes really that does say 66 knots

Confirming that on the RASP is a little difficult….

Time for a new Y axis

Anyhow just thought is worth worth preserving these forecasts on the blog for posterity as in my limited gliding experience I’ve not seen anything this before. Sure it may change a little by Monday but everyone keep safe.

p.s. Mr. Potter if you are anywhere near LadyP please tie her down inverted in the hanger & park a car on each wing.
